On Sunday, 18 July, the opening concert of the "DorfKircheKlingt" series will take place in Pasewalk's church "Nikolaikirche". The concert series is an initiative of the Nordkurier Füreinander gGmbH, founded in 2019, which, in cooperation with several partners, wants to turn churches in the countryside into lively village centres again by offering small free concerts. Partners in the case of Pasewalk are the Pomeranian Protestant Church District, the Collegium für Alte Musik Vorpommern and the Verein Kirchenmusik Pasewalk.
The concert on Sunday is entitled "Of Love and Darkness - The Songs of Solomon". In the illuminated church, the Collegium für Alte Musik Vorpommern with seven musicians will perform pieces by the Italian composer Salomone Rossi from the early Baroque period.
